We empower seniors to navigate the digital world safely and confidently. Online scams and cyber threats are on the rise, but you don’t have to face them alone—our 8-week Senior Cyber Security Awareness Program is designed to help you stay safe online.
Founded in 2025, Elder-Tech Cyber was born out of a crucial need - protecting seniors in an increasingly digital world.
Recognising the lack of cybersecurity resources tailored to older adults, we saw an opportunity to bridge the gap and make a positive difference.
At Elder-Tech Cyber, our mission is to empower seniors with the knowledge and skills to navigate the digital world safely and confidently.
Through education, protection and support, we help older adults safeguard their personal information.
We believe cybersecurity should be accessible to all, ensuring that every senior can stay connected, informed and secure in an increasingly digital world.
We know the digital world can feel a bit overwhelming—but it doesn’t have to be. Our mission is to make technology simple, approachable, and stress-free.
We break down essential topics like protecting your devices, creating strong passwords, and spotting suspicious emails, using easy-to-understand language.
Every session is designed specifically for older adults, with real-life examples and practical tips you can use right away.
Whether you’re just starting out or looking to build confidence online, we’re here to help you stay safe, informed, and in control.
What we offer:
Australia Faced 31.5 Million Cyber Attacks in 2024 - which equated to One attack EVERY second.
Australians over 65 were the only age group to experience an increase in reported scam loses, with a 13.3% rise in losses totalling $120 million in 2024.
Scams via social media saw a 16.5% increase, leading to $93.5 million in losses and scam victimisation increased from 2.5% in 2022-23 to 3.1% in 2023-24.
Investment scams were particularly devasting for older Australians, with many victims losing significant amounts after being contacted online.
Online safety is a common concern for many older Australians. About 72% worry about hackers getting into their devices, and 55% are cautious about whether online shopping websites are legitimate.
An estimated 59% of young adults have helped an older family member use technology. This shows how important it is to offer training and support for older Australians, so they don’t get left behind in a digital world.
